Did someone say banana bread?
There’s nothing that says home like the smell of fresh-baked bread. Banana bread is a huge family favourite around my home and it’s also super easy to make. I like to bake several at a time and freeze them. This is a huge time saver when I need last minute snacks, but don’t have the time to bake.
Banana bread is not only tasty, but it’s also versatile. It makes a wonderful on-the-go breakfast item, it can be packed in a lunchbox, or be offered as a warm after-school snack waiting when children hop off the bus. What’s more, it can also serve as a last-minute dessert option when guests turn up unexpectedly. The best part of baking my own snacks, I know that I am giving my children the highest quality ingredients without the additives found in most grocery store convenience foods.
For this recipe, I like to use ripe bananas because they will add to the sweet flavour. The riper your bananas, the sweeter the bread will taste.
I have also provided you with a link if you require gluten free options. There is no commission for me providing this link, it’s just one of my favourite places to find recipes.
