First things first, a little bit about who I am!
I’m Michele, also well known as The Green Crunchy Mother. I am a busy homeschooling mum with three children aged 19, 16, and 12. I am also very passionate about sustainable and healthy living. I’ve also developed a passion for our country lifestyle since moving away from the city several years ago.
I have no formal training in sustainability, nutrition, autism, ADHD, anxiety, toxin free living, essential oils, or behaviour strategies. I don’t claim to be an expert and I have completed my own research to determine what is safe for my family. I am a self taught mum who wants the best for my children and to share with you what works for my family, and what does not! Just because it works for my family it does not mean that it will work for you. Always consult with a professional concerning any material written on my website if you are ever in doubt.
I was born in Montreal, Quebec and moved at an early age to Kingston, Ontario, where I spent most of my childhood. I moved back to Montreal for several years and I am back in rural Ontario, living the best country living lifestyle ever. I have always been a country girl at heart, and I feel so blessed to be able to offer this lifestyle to my own children.
My passion for healthy and sustainable living began at a very young age, for as long as I can remember. My dedication towards natural living was strengthened when my own children were diagnosed with autism, ADHD, anxiety, sensory issues, and other behavioural issues that required a healthier way of life. Every day is a new opportunity to explore healthier ways of living.
I created The Green Crunchy Community because I wanted to build a community and share my parenting journey and life experiences with other like minded people. As you connect with my family and myself through my posts, I want to connect with you and your family. You are always free to reach out to me using email me, or any other social media channel.
When I have free time, you can find me running, walking, reading, cooking healthy meals, and making Do It Yourself recipes such as my homemade deodorant!
